The Garden Folly
A structure nestled in the greenery of the garden – tranquil, yet full of life. The Garden Folly is shaped like a hexagon, nature’s own symbol of balance and harmony. The same form appears in the honeycomb’s pattern, in the crystals of snowflakes, and in the minerals of mountains – always perfect, always in harmony with the world around it.
This shape has always held a special place in my heart. It also appears in my own wedding ring, where a hexagon-shaped sapphire from Madagascar glimmers in a muted green tone – like the sea on a cloudy day. For the sea is not always blue, and at dusk, when the garden grows still, it’s said that tiny fairies dance around The Garden Folly.
